The Darlings of Hyde Park! Dr Ge Ge (pronounced Guh-Ge)
Growing up little 5 year old David lived with his family in the city of Beijing, just north of the forbidden city; but life changed quickly for the family once the Qing dynasty fell. The family reports “they made it out.” Can you even fathom what it must of felt like to quietly and swiftly pick up roots and travel to an unknown country? The family arrived in California. They found a little place above a tourist shop close by the Roosevelt hotel. Once they got their bearings, little David started school. He soared in his studies and stepped into the role of tutor, big brother, and mentor to his little sister Mary.
Fast forward to today. Dr David Han! First leg of his career journey, he was the Chief of Engineering at GoodYear in Akron, Ohio. Along the way Dr Ge Ge collected books, artifacts, nurtured plants, loved boom boxes & radios. (All in the estate.) This property located in the heart of Hyde Park, around the corner from President O’Bama’s house, is three floors ladies and gentlemen. Each floor has of 4 bedrooms, NOT counting the double sunrooms. There’s art on the walls and a complete library on the lower level. THREE FLOORS.
