Publisher’s full brown cloth, front board and spine stamped in dark brown (spine toned, creased and worn, boards soiled, worn, endleaves toned with several pieces of tape, some thumbsoiling, toning to text, with a few pages roughly opened and torn). Etta Moten Barnett (1901-2004) was an actress, activist, and singer, and was the first African American to perform in the White House in the 20th Century.
