Step into the world of Olumuyiwa Augustine, the visionary founder of NTU—home to the NTU Performing Arts center over on 17th & Michigan, the theater bar on 75th & Rhodes, and the dance studio on 71st & Jeffrey where another great, Darlene Blackburn taught us all the steps from the Motherland. This living estate features a remarkable collection shaped by a profound love for African heritage, music, art, and Black culture.
A piece of music history, Olu served as the road manager and occasional drummer for The Pharoahs (Louis Satterfield, Don Myrick, Maurice White...) and famously inspired the iconic album cover for Earth, Wind & Fire’s "Keep Your Head To The Sky." Together we can collectively say, THAT WAS A JAM!
