In his youth, Dr. Walter Williams SCHOLAR , talented musician and saxophonist, played with SUN RA & Nat King Coles brother, FREDDY COLE!

Dr. Walter Williams a graduate of DuSable and student of Dr. Margaret G Burroughs (Founder of the Southside Community Art Center AND DuSable Museum) went on to Found the ANCIENT EGYTIAN MUSEUM & INSTITUTE. The museum was originally located at 3649 S Michigan ave in the heartbeat of Chicago's Bronzeville.

The BRILLANT Dr. Walter Williams penned 2 bestsellers. "The Historical Origin of Islam," and "The Historical Origin of Christianity."

Its said that at the age of 92 Dr. Williams was able to remember exactly what he wrote in his books. Many say his depth of knowledge and intellect far surpassed any other teachers of religion. He was known as THE MASTER TEACHER.

Dr. Williams will always be remembered for his contribution to the Chicago jazz scene, his scholarship and community enrichments.

The estate liquidation consists of FOUR DAYS. April 24-27th, from 9-3pm. The estate liquidation is on TWO floors. Dr Williams collected BLACK art and this estate houses an extensive collection of Dr Burroughs works. The largest we've ever seen! Burroughs works are becoming increasingly scarce. Also in his art collection-Donny Carter, Melvin King, Elaine Dungill, LeRoy Nieman, Picasso, David Mosley, original historic posters, Freddie Ellis and MANY more! Here's an opportunity for you and your family to begin or add to your Black Art collection.

They're TWO libraries in this estate. There's a top floor where additional books may be found, and also many scattered throughout the estate. The main library on the 1st floor houses books on his writings on the subject of world religion. The second library is a mixture of books from his life travels. Don't miss the Den where there's a dedicated space for his CD's, lectures and personal books offered for purchase.
